Apple iphone new features

Discovery of a folder labelled ‘Biometric Kit’ hidden in iOS7 has lent proof to rumours that Apple’s next iPhone will feature a fingerprint sensor.

If the rumours are true then a scanner will be built into the home button in order to confirm the user’s identity for possible iTunes payments, unlocking the phone and even signing into Facebook and other apps.

The extra security of fingerprint recognition would be a useful crime deterrent as the iconic iPhone is a preferred target for muggers.

Apple is known for launching each version of the iPhone with a new killer feature, such as Siri, to lure punters into upgrading.

Fingerprint scanners could be the next trick up Apple’s sleeve.

As soon as this new iphone is released we will let you know

Moto X Smartphone

The new Moto x Smartphone this smartphone has just surfaced.

The Moto X By the year 2020, you'll interact with your phone, tablet, PC and TV by talking, mostly.

Voice interaction and artificial intelligence won't be an "app" that you "launch," then "use."

Your human-sounding virtual assistant will be "ambient" -- whether you're in the office, home, car or walking around town. You'll just talk and your virtual assistant will hear you because it will always be listening. It will have conversations with you and go off and do things for you.

Your virtual assistant will know all about you -- your preferences, history and current situation -- and use that information to interrupt you with highly relevant information and suggestions that will constantly help you. (Yes, there are privacy challenges. But solving those is a separate issue from the inevitability and desirability of voice-interaction virtual assistant interfaces.)

Today, such technology exists in rudimentary form. But it doesn't matter because people don't use it.

Today, the most popular voice-interaction virtual assistants, which are Apple's Siri and Google Now, are amazing resources that hardly anyone really uses. Even occasional users don't understand all they can do -- especially Google Now.

And Google Now is getting more capable all the time. Google is reportedly testing "hyper-local" news -- information about your neighborhood and even street. Other reports suggest Google Now will be involved in home automation applications.

But no matter how good Google Now gets, it doesn't matter if people don't use it.

New Nokia Lumia 1020

Nokia Lumia 1020: Latest News

The latest leaks regarding the next Nokia Windows Phone suggest that the handset will indeed be called the Nokia Lumia 1020.

The data could be an example of mis-labelling, or even misdirection, though the fact that the photos have now been made private since the press caught on suggest otherwise.

Another leak has since confirmed it. THe AT&T listing also shows that the new handset will be available in black, white, and yellow.

The new Lumia has been previously leaked under the names the Nokia EOS as well as the Nokia 909. The Finnish phone manufacturers will be unveiling the handset in full during an all-day event on July 11.

This event has been marketed under the slogan thought to be a reference to the new handset’s massive 41-megapixel camera. By comparison the iPhone 5 has an 8-megapixel camera whilst the Samsung Galaxy S4's camera has 13-megapixels.

Rumours also suggest this will be accompanied by a xenon flash, a massive f2.2 aperture, and an ‘oversampling’ functionality similar to the ‘UltraPixel’ lens on the HTC One’s camera.

Other rumoured specs include a 32GB storage (without a microSD expansion), an optional backplate for wireless charging, NFC capability and 2GB of RAM.

With a suggested price of around £400 industry commentators think the new phone will help win consumers over to Lumia as well as the Windows Phone platform.

In global terms Nokia and Windows have both struggled to compete with Apple, Samsung and the Android operating system.

In the three month period ending May this year,

And when combined iOS and Android operating systems make up over 90% of the market. In comparison Microsoft’s Windows Phone had only 3.2% of the market.

Despite lacklustre performance, Nokia’s Lumia brand has received favourable reviews, with praise directed at hardware specs comparable to the latest Apple or Samsung products, as well as design touches (well, a choice of colours essentially) that set the handsets apart from their competitors.

Master key to Android phones uncovered If exploited

Master key' to Android phones uncovered If exploited, the bug would give attackers access to almost any Android phone Continue reading the main story

A "master key" that could give cyber-thieves unfettered access to almost any Android phone has been discovered by security research firm BlueBox.
The bug could be exploited to let an attacker do what they want to a phone including stealing data, eavesdropping or using it to send junk messages.
The loophole has been present in every version of the Android operating system released since 2009.
Google said it currently had no comment to make on BlueBox's discovery.
Writing on the BlueBox blog, Jeff Forristal, said the implications of the discovery were "huge".
The bug emerges because of the way Android handles cryptographic verification of the programs installed on the phone.
Android uses the cryptographic signature as a way to check that an app or program is legitimate and to ensure it has not been tampered with. Mr Forristal and his colleagues have found a method of tricking the way Android checks these signatures so malicious changes to apps go unnoticed.
Any app or program written to exploit the bug would enjoy the same access to a phone that the legitimate version of that application enjoyed.
"It can essentially take over the normal functioning of the phone and control any function thereof," wrote Mr Forristal. BlueBox reported finding the bug to Google in February. Mr Forristal is planning to reveal more information about the problem at the Black Hat hacker conference being held in August this year.
The danger from the loophole remains theoretical because, as yet, there is no evidence that it is being exploited by cyber-thieves.
One other hurdle is that in order to catch out Android users, malicious hackers would have to get their booby-trapped version of a legitimate application on to the Google Play store

Sales rise for flagship handset Samsung Galaxy S4

A recent report claimed that the Korean technology major has sold over 20 million units this is great news for its flagship handset Samsung Galaxy S4 since its commercial launch in April 2013.

The report has said Samsung has achieved this by the end of June. In a similar revelation in May, Samsung had claimed that it sold 10 million units of
GalaxyS4 Smartphone in just one month after the launch, making it the fastest selling Android device.

There is no official announcement by the handset maker about recent sales which is a shame. However, it is understood to have set a target of selling 100 million units. This is good news for the Galaxy S4 Smartphone

Several other variants of the Samsung's flagship Smartphone have also been launched in the markets.

Additionally, if the latest tech leaks are to be believed, Samsung Galaxy S5 could be very much in the works and may feature a finger print detection technology. There have been several leaks and speculations in this regard.

Given the reputation of the South Korean technology giant for its constant product innovation, what has emerged as a rumor now may turn out to be true in the future as far as Galaxy S5 is concerned.
